We're a small crew of houseplant obsessives who kept losing track of which jar was which — was that the Monstera Albo node, or the Golden Pothos cutting from three weeks ago? PlantyFlanty grew out of that exact kitchen-windowsill chaos, built by propagators, for propagators.

PlantyFlanty was built on a simple promise: your propagation journal belongs to you and only you. This Privacy Policy explains, in plain language, why that promise is easy to keep — because the app is designed from the ground up to collect nothing at all.

01 Information We Collect

PlantyFlanty is engineered to work without any exchange of personal data. We do not collect your name, email address, location, device identifiers, the photos you take of your cuttings, or any other personal information — ever. Every cutting profile, root snapshot, and reminder you create stays exactly where you made it: on your device.

02 How We Use Information

Because we never receive any information from you, there is nothing for us to use, analyze, or profile. We do not build usage statistics about you, we do not study your propagation habits, and we do not sell, rent, or trade anything to advertisers or data brokers — there is no data pipeline leading off your phone.

03 Data Storage

All the content you create inside PlantyFlanty — cutting cards, medium tags, root growth photos, fertilizer logs, and success statistics — is stored locally in your device's own storage. Nothing is synced to a server we control and nothing is uploaded to a cloud database. Complete offline access isn't a convenience feature; it is the app's entire architecture.

04 Third-Party Services

PlantyFlanty does not integrate third-party analytics kits, advertising networks, tracking pixels, or crash-reporting tools that transmit data off-device. We've deliberately avoided the software libraries most apps use to watch their users, so there is no third party quietly collecting information through us.

05 Data Security

Since your propagation records never leave your device, the strongest layer of security is simply that there is no transmission to intercept and no remote database to compromise. Your cutting photos and journal entries are protected by whatever lock, passcode, or encryption your device's operating system already provides.

06 Children's Privacy

PlantyFlanty does not knowingly or unknowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Because the app requires no account, no sign-up, and no personal details from any user, it never creates, requests, or stores data belonging to a child. We meet the spirit and letter of COPPA by design, not by policy alone.

07 Your Control

You are always in complete control of your propagation data. Because everything lives locally, deleting a cutting card removes it instantly from your device, and uninstalling PlantyFlanty removes every trace of your jars, roots, and reminders along with it. There are no accounts to close and no servers holding onto information after you're gone.

08 Changes to This Policy

If we ever update PlantyFlanty's features in a way that changes how the app handles information on your device, we will revise this Privacy Policy and update the Effective Date above. We encourage you to review this page occasionally, though our commitment to collecting nothing is not expected to change.
